These two booklets were authored by Larry Martinek, creator of the Mathnasium Method™ , chief instructional officer for Mathnasium, and otherwise and known to Los Angeles schools and teachers as "The Math Guy." Larry's approach is simple: to teach kids math in a way that makes sense to them.

The tips contained in these booklets are the product of 30 years in the "refiner's fire" of the classroom and tutoring living room, working with kids and teaching teachers. They represent a tiny fraction of Larry's life's work, developing a better way to teach and learn math.
